Growing up, as they call it these days, you could say I had “crunchy” parents. But for me, it was never a quirky trend or an aesthetic lifestyle choice. It was life. It was survival. And honestly…it was a love story.
It began long before I was born, with two individuals who grew up sickly and faced more health issues than most people could imagine. I know — we’re off to a heavy start. But trust me, it gets better.
My parents searched and searched for ways to heal themselves when nothing else seemed to work. And eventually, they discovered something incredibly powerful…something that’s accessible to all of us:
Nature.
It’s wild when you think about it — everything we need to survive and thrive is already here, grown from the Earth itself. My parents found that natural healing held the answers they had been desperately chasing. And that discovery brought them together.
Their passion for natural wellness, their hunger for healing, and their desire to help others became their shared mission.
Together, they were unstoppable.
As they healed, they helped others heal too. Growing up, I watched people walk into our home broken, tired, or sick — and leave transformed. I didn’t fully appreciate it then, but now as an adult, I see clearly:
My parents were the superheroes in so many people’s stories.
One thing I deeply admire about them (and lovingly check in on them for) is how much they pour into others. When my dad coaches someone on changing their lifestyle, he doesn’t just talk about it — he lives it with them. He’ll walk through the grocery store with them, read labels with them, teach them what to look for. And through all that, he discovered something alarming:
Our hair and skin products were full of chemicals and toxins that our bodies were absorbing every single day.
So he did what my dad always does — went into full research mode.
He studied ingredients, researched natural alternatives, experimented, tested, and formulated clean solutions. He started making our natural hair and skincare products from scratch: leave-in conditioners, lotions, you name it.
And when we shared them with friends…they wanted more.
And then their friends wanted some too.
That’s where I come into the story.
My dad passed these skills down to me — how to make natural hair care products, how to understand ingredients, and how to trust nature first. And now, as an adult, I finally understand the gift he gave me.
My mission is simple:
To make natural wellness accessible to as many people as possible.
To share the goodness of natural care with others — because everyone deserves products they can trust.
Silas Naturals was born from love —
